We had a lovely morning on Friday the 30th April when we met at the park with some very special people.
The mayor and his wife, Hubert Swain and David Wildgoose joined us to celebrate.
Hubert’s father Cyril first bought his trains to the park in 1948 and commissioned Little David in 1974.
David Wildgoose is the great grandson of Lubin Wildgoose who was the first to ride the boats when the lake opened in 1935.
It was great to all be together for the re-opening and we are pleased to say the new electric engines worked perfectly.
